- @ Nick: Only problem with raising the minimum wage is how can a company, especially small businesses, pay for it? The ONLY way they can cover it is by raising the cost of goods or cutting back on the number of employees - which means the rest of us pay more.

- @ Chris from Yucaipa - You completely miss the facts about illegals receiving benefits (i.e., welfare, food stamps, etc.). Fact of the matter is, all they need is their "anchor" baby and they're entitled to these handouts. It's a FACT even if the parents are illegal.

- @ hockeymom - I'm glad to see someone finally explain this isn't the 'cycle' for all cicadas! There are numerous species (hence, why we have them every summer - not the same species as 17-yr). ALSO, the cycles and locations vary throughout the country.

- @ Jobseeker: This is FAR from being a "...new way for someone to kill himself...". Look up Judy Kirby and her wrongway accident from March, 2000 near Martinsville, IN. She was one of the two survivors of an accident that took SEVEN lives - including three of her own children.

- FYI - the full retirement age is increasing for Social Security. In my case, it's 66 and for my sons at least 67.

- AZAFVWT - If you're actually a 'vet' then you know why this is news. After an exhaustive search and he suddenly 'turns up' 4 months later? The fact the US govt. spent at least 100's of thousands of dollars for the search is only the beginning. He's in some deep you-know-what.
